I-595 CORRIDOR TRAFFIC IMPACT REPORT AUGUST 1, 2025– AUGUST 8, 2025
I-595 SCHEDULED CLOSURES FOR ROUTINE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE:
The following mobile operations are scheduled along Eastbound and Westbound I-595 and Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84. These activities include roadway lighting repairs:
- Mobile operations will take place on Eastbound and Westbound I-595 throughout the project limits from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025.
- Mobile operations will take place on Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84 throughout the project limits from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025.
SCHEDULED PROJECT NOTICE— THE I-595 CORRIDOR RESURFACING PROJECT:
• WESTBOUND I-595 GENERAL PURPOSE LANES FROM DAVIE ROAD TO FLAMINGO ROAD TO BE CLOSED ON SELECT NIGHTS THROUGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 7, 2025 --- Westbound I-595 from Davie Road to Flamingo Road may have up to three lanes closed on select nights through Thursday, August 7 2025. The first lane will close at 9:00 p.m., the second lane at 9:30 p.m., and the third lane at 10:00 p.m., with all lanes reopening by 5:00 a.m.
Detours including impacted on- and off-ramps, remain in place along Westbound State Road 84 from Davie Road to Flamingo Road. Ongoing milling and resurfacing activities may be impacted by weather conditions.
Motorists are encouraged to continue traveling west on State Road 84 and use the next available on-ramp to Westbound I-595 once it is open and safe for travel. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted detour signs.
In addition to ongoing maintenance activities, the I-595 Resurfacing Project began on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This project includes repaving the I-595 corridor—encompassing the Express Lanes, general-purpose lanes, and State Road 84—to improve the durability and resilience of the roadway. It also involves upgrading signage and pavement markings to meet current standards and enhancing the pavement surface for a smoother, safer driving experience. All work is being performed during nighttime hours to minimize impacts on daytime traffic. Updates on lane closures and project progress will continue to be shared as work advances.
